The Vicar of Loudes Forane Church Kottayam is the Manager and the Archbishop of Changanacherry, the Patron.

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education with Affiliation No. 9493.

School Year

The School opens on 16th May of every year and close on 31st March. Classes IX and X starts on May 2. The pre-primary classes start functioning on 6th June only.

Admission

The School is co-educational. Admission is open to all pupils ireespective of caste or creed. Application for registration should be made in the prescribed form available at the school office. Applicants selected for admission should remit admission fee, special fee and the first instalment of tuition fee at the time of admission.

The minimum age for admission to Class One is 5 years as on Ist June. Birth certificate from the Registrar of births and deaths should be produced at the time of admission to pre-primary classes and Class One.

Curriculum

The scheme of studies, the scheme of examinations and the course of study prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi are strictly followed. Text books prepared by the National Council of Educational Research and Training New Delhi are taught from Class One onwards. The medium of instruction is English.

Courses of Study

Pre-primary: This section comprises L.K.G and U.K.G. The play way appraoch is adopted in the pre-primary classes. Kids joining the pre-primary can look forward to more fun and play as there will be no heavy bags, books or home work.

Primary Classes : Classes I-VIII

Secondary Classes : Class IX-X

Evaluation

The progress of the pupils is evaluated by conducting two mid-term, two termly and the annual examinations. Test papers are conducted at regular intervals. Attendance in all examinations and tests is compulsory. Progress reportsare sent to the parents after each examination. Overall performance will be the basis for promotion. After each examination it is desirable for the parents to come to school and discuss the performance of the pupil with the teachers foncerned.

Co-Curricular Activities

For all round development fo personality a variety of co-curricular activities are arranged for the pupils. Traininng is imparted in Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Dance, School Band, Yoga, Karate and painting. Afternoons of alternate sundays are set apart for co-curricular activities.
