The campus is housed in Rajagiri Valley in the outskirts of the city of Cochin, Kerala. It provides a congenial ambience for an enriching and fulfilling academic life. The main instruction building has classrooms equipped with modern presentation equipments, air-conditioned seminar halls, conference room and auditoria. Housing for students is adjacent to the instruction building. Rajagiri Library and Computer Center in the campus give easy access to academic resources to the community. The Director of the College Fr. Jose Alex CMI was the former Provincial, Sacret Heart Province. He is a Post graduate in social work from the TATA Institute of Social Science, Mumbai. He was a member of academic committee at the Mahatma Gandhi University during his tenure in the university syndicate. RASET is a dream child of Fr. Jose Alex.

Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RASET) an offshoot of the renowned Rajagiri Educational Enterprises, is located on the picturesque Rajagiri Valley Campus at Kakkanad on the banks of the river Chitrapuzha.

Rajagiri literally means the "The Hill of the King" and derivatively, it refers to the hillock where Jesus Christ is accepted as king or the model, as the human embodiment of the virtues of love, truth and justice.

RASET together with its sister educational concerns, owes its existence to the CMI fathers, the first over indigenous religious congregation for men in the Syrian Catholic tradition of Christianity in india. The CMI’s drawing inspiration from their founding father Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara a great visionary, reformer and religious leader of the 19th century, have proven themselves worthy of that heritage in the field of education by establishing instructions of excellence imparting quality education, across the length and breadth of the state and in various parts of India. At present, they have a networks of over 150 schools, 9 affiliated university colleges and 9 technical institutes, functioning under 13 provinces spread all over the Globe.

Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RASET), Kakkanad, is an endeavor of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate(CMI) - the congregation of missionaries known as the pioneers of education, to offers superior quality technical education. A self-financing institution affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, the school offers B.Tech Programme in Engineering.

Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology is part of an ambitious project of providing state-of-the-art Education in Engineering, Management, Science and Social Science under the umbrella of Rajagiri Vidyapeedam. The curriculum offered here aims not only at imparting syllabus - prescribed knowledge but also exposing the students to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of a rich variety. We also emphasize the physical and spiritual development of  students.

The Twinning program in Engineering which is in full stream now envisages the prospect of imparting under graduate Education at RASET as well as another institution in a foreign country like USA and Thailand. RASET already has collaboration with the Western Michigan University, USA and the Assumption University Bankok under this program. The college has a highly qualified and seasoned team of dedicated faculty members teaching and guiding students. The rich academic and practical resources available in the campus include research center, consultancy center and production and training cell.

The serene atmosphere in RASET campus, a sprawling 90 acre estate on the banks of the river, Chithirapuzha is conducive to flowering of all round talents and skills in students who come from an urban or a rural background.

The RASET Campus computing Network maintained by the Department of Computer Science, is one of the most modern, automated frameworks where we stay ahead of the curve by continually investing in and upgrading our technology infrastructure. The Computer labs house specialty systems, including networking and distributed lab, System Software lab and more. The Campus Computing Network is Internet enabled through a 24/7, 256 Kbps hi-speed leased line connection.

Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology is a fully Computerised library with a good collection of books, periodicals and non-book materials. Objective of RASET Library is to provide right updated information for the faculty and the students in the field of Engineering Considering the convenience of the users the library is organized in to the following sections.

Acquisition Section, Periodicals Section, Reference Section, Text Book Section, Photo Copying Section, Book Bank Section.

RASET has a separate digital library with the resources of CD ROM's, Floppies and Cassettes.

The Industry - Institute Interaction Cell lays emphasis on exposing the students to the actual industrial scenario to reinforce their theoretical understanding on the subject. The Cell also organizes expert lectures by professionals from the industry on a regular basis. This gives the students a chance to understand the requirements of the industry and sharpen their skills accordingly.

RASET has plans to shortly become a center of advanced studies in engineering science and technology. A couple of research project have already been drawn up and submitted to state, national or international agencies for support. This include a proposal dealing with industrial safety under stress factors and another on application of Chaos Theory in engineering.

Placement Cell, advises the students on planning course options and career choice. Apart from giving individual advise, the placement Cell organizes regular workshops on improving interview performance. The Training and placement cell keeps track of the opening within the country and abroad, and brings in companies for campus recruitment. The placement officer also assists the students in finding short-term assignments and project work placements. Apart from this, the Cell also conducts mock interviews, group discussions and test to help the students overcome their limitations and give their best.

The core engineering disciplines of RASET has a galaxy of staff members who have brought by the consultancy division of RASET. The staff members undertake industrial and academic consultancy work on a regular basis. Talented students are also included in the consultancy work, so that they get a hands on experience from the industry and their theoretical knowledge is supplemented with practical skills.

The thrust of the Student Enrichmet Programme is on moulding each student into a unique individual. With this end in view, students are encouraged to discover and develop their strengths and talents.

Personality and aptitude development programes which include special coaching for competitive exams like GRE, GATE, TOEFL etc.,

Intensive coaching for weak students, Yoga and Counseling. Membership in professional bodies like ISTE, IEEE, IETE, IE(I) etc. Language Department to improve oral and writer communication skills, coaching in foreign languages, Student seminars and presentations using latest audio-video equipments, Association activities, Student clubs, National seminars and technical symposiums for research scholars and engineering students.

To supplement theoretical knowledge with practical skills RASET has established a production and training center. The activities of this center help the students to design and fabricate electronics systems, assembling of PC's, Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) etc.
