The Indian Council of World Affairs is calling young writers to participate in their ICWA Essay Writing Competition. This competition gives the students the opportunity to pen their creative thoughts. The competition will be divided into two categories i.e. Junior and Senior level.

For Junior level, the students will be required to write a 1500 words write up on ‘Why climate change is important for India’s Foreign Policy?’, for Senior level a 2500 words write up will be needed on ‘Is India’s Foreign Policy an instrument for our development?’
Last date to submit the application form is July 30, 2018. In order to be eligible for this competition, candidates need to fulfil the mandated requirements:

Eligibility

For junior level, students must fall under the age group of 15 to 18 years, whereas for senior level, 18 to 25 year old applicants are accepted.

Scholarship Reward

For junior level:
• First prize holder will be awarded with INR 15,000.
• Second prize holder will be awarded with INR 10,000.
• Third prize holder will be awarded with INR 5,000.

For senior level:

• First prize holder will be awarded with INR 25,000.
• Second prize holder will be awarded with INR 15,000.
• Third prize holder will be awarded with INR 10,000.
