Dear sir, I am a permanent resident of UK. My family is in India and I wish to bring mywife and child to tke UK for settlement. Is there any income requirement? If so how much income should I have for there visa? |
| Hi,
I note that I do not have a name to address. Any way thanks for your query.
As per the current requirement the UK sponsor ( permanent resident or UK national) must have an annual income of at least £18, 600 in order to sponsor his/her spouse for a settlement visa to the uk. If there are children involved, then for the first child there must be an additional evidence of £3, 800 per year on top of the above annual income i.e. £22, 400 must be available. For any additional children there must be additional income of £2, 400 per child per year. Please note, the UK home office recently lost a case in regards to the above income requirement and curretly they have filed an appeal against the decion that is being considered. Depending on whether Home Office will win or lose there may be some changes to the above income requirement in the near future.
