Thanks for your query.
EEA Residence cards are normally issued for a duration of 5 years. So long as she has a valid EEA Residence card she would not have any problems in reentering the UK. However due to the long absence from the UK she may face questions from the officers at the port of entry. They may try to verify that her situations have not changed the EEA National is still in the UK. It would be even better if she travels with you to the UK.
